Stop Planning, Start Doing: The 4 Habits Holding Your Business Back
Ever feel like you’re working non-stop but not actually moving forward? You’re not alone! So many social media managers and business owners get stuck in “busy” mode without real progress.
In this episode of BO-SS By Bronte, I’m breaking down the four common habits that keep you stuck:
1. Giving Yourself Too Much Time To Accomplish Task
Allowing a whole day for a task that could take two hours makes you less productive. You end up overplanning, focusing on irrelevant parts, and losing momentum. Challenge yourself to give certain tasks just one focused hour. You’ll either finish faster or make huge progress.
2. Focusing on the Wrong Areas
It’s easy to spend days perfecting your website or social media aesthetic, but if you don’t have enough clients, those aren’t your priorities. Always align your weekly actions with your number one business goal.
3. Moving Without a Game Plan
Without a bigger-picture plan, you’ll fill your time with whatever comes to mind. A clear structure keeps you focused on actions that actually matter.
4. Planning Instead of Acting
Planning feels safe, but if you’re stuck mapping out ideas without implementing them, you’re stalling your growth. Once you know what to do, lock it in and start. Action creates momentum.
One coaching client achieved her six-month business goals in just six weeks by removing low-value tasks, focusing only on actions that directly moved her toward her objectives, and working with urgency instead of spreading tasks over unnecessary time.
